Ultra Masters All Canadian
Throwing Standards
The Ultra Masters All Canadian (UMAC) Throwing Standards use the USATF Masters All-American Standards as a reference guide only.
The Ultra Weight and Ultra Weight Pentathlon are not recognized by BC Athletics, Canadian Masters Athletics (CMA), or World Masters Athletics (WMA). The Super Weight is recognized by BC Athletics, with provincial records maintained, but is not recognized by CMA or WMA.
The Throws Triathlon is recognized by CMA, with results listed under “Rankings – Athletics Canada,” but is not recognized by BC Athletics or WMA. Ultra Throw includes these events at sanctioned meets, and official records will be maintained, provided the appropriate forms are signed by the Meet Director.
The Ultra Weight implements for men and women were selected as the first weight category above the heaviest Super Weight for each gender — 98 pounds for men and 20 kg for women. The Ultra Weight remains consistent across all age groups.

ABOUT the Ultra Masters All Canadian (UMAC) Throwing Standards:
Each Spring, our club will search the previous year’s results of all Canadian throwers ages 30 and up and then post the list of those throwers, that meet these standards, on our website (ultrathrow.com). Compilation of Canadian throwers meeting these high standards of excellence began for the year 2021.
This is a club venture and is not done in conjunction with BC Athletics or Athletics Canada. It is our way to promote the ‘throws’ and to bring recognition to the many great Master throwers. It does not matter if these throwers are own Ultra members, British Columbians, or from any other province in Canada, or whether a Canadian athlete is living here or abroad. These performances deserve to be recognized.
